Don’t Adopt Amnesia!

Don’t Adopt Amnesia!

I was reading the word of God not that long ago and something spoke to me directly that I want to share with all of you.

Some of you might be in this situation and it will encourage you.

Moses had a great experience with the Lord in Exodus Chapters 3 & 4, God almighty appeared to him from a burning bush that was not consumed and gave him marching orders. Moses and Aaron were going with confidence back to Egypt to deliver the people of Israel from Pharaoh’s heavy hand of oppression. They were riding high when they walked into the Palace to deliver a message straight from the lips of Almighty God.

They found out very quickly that Pharaoh was not impressed with their message, and didn’t care about their God.

They might have expected that to some extent but he added to the people’s misery and made their life harder. Exodus 5th chapter and 6th verse states:

That same day Pharaoh sent this order to the Egyptian slave drivers and the Israelite foremen: “Do not supply any more straw for making bricks. Make the people get it themselves! (NLT)

So instead of thanking Moses and Aaron for coming to their rescue to deliver them from the heavy hand of Pharaoh and 400 years of bondage, they turned on them and attacked Moses and Aaron. This situation looked like it was going south very quickly. What were they going to do?

I thought about us, when God Almighty speaks a clear word of direction to us. Then we step out to do what He instructed us to do and are met with continual opposition.

So much till like Moses in the 22nd verse of the 5th chapter of Exodus says, “Why did you ever send me”.

We must not have amnesia and forget that if God Almighty spoke a word that it will come to pass. We must not let the circumstances surrounding us and the talking heads of the people discourage us from going forward in what God said to us.

We know that later it turned around for Moses and Aaron because they became stronger each day in Gods message to, “LET MY PEOPLE GO.”

I encourage you today to stand your ground and don’t be swayed by the circumstances around you. If you choose to do that, you will find that things will eventually (it may take some time) line up with what God said to you at the very beginning. Stay strong, stay strong, stay strong!!!
