24 Hours

24 Hours

For you to get to know someone intimately you must spend time with them. We all know there are 24 hours in a day and you will spend those hours ultimately doing what you have purposed to do.

God spoke to me recently in prayer and said, “Most of the things people concern themselves with in life are really not that important.”

In those 24 hours we need to do an assessment of what’s really important and what’s not important. We need to major on the important things and minor or eliminate what’s not important.

I can tell you that getting to know the one that created you is of utmost importance. He is the source of everything, and to know, love and cherish Him should be your top priority in life.

Jesus one day was having a conversation with a religious leader. The religious leader was asking Jesus a question, what was the first commandment?

Without hesitation Jesus said:

The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.  And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.” Mark 11:29 – 30 (NKJV)

So in those 24 hours learn how you can make that a top priority in your daily routine. You will find that His peace will flood your soul like a tidal wave and His direction for your life will become clearer each day.

After reading this don’t go back to what you have always done. Purpose in your heart to make the changes necessary to make being intimate with Jesus a top priority of your next 24 hours.

Don’t just do it one day and forget the next day, make it a habit, soon we will not recognize you. The reason is because when anyone spends time with Him they come out changed!

Happy 24 hours!!!
