Everyday you are inundated with different people’s opinions giving you their thoughts on what you should do.
They all mean well, but can only give you advice from their limited life experiences. Some come from traditions passed down through generations, some through fear, some through negativity and some from bad experiences. There is nothing wrong with listening to what people have to say, but in the end you have to make the choices that lead you to what is right for you.
God has a plan for your life and that plan was placed inside of you before you were born. It’s like God delivered a full package when he made you, you just didn’t come to this earth on the day you were born alone, but something else came with you, a mission from God.
As you have lived those different opinions of people, it began to move you in all kinds of different directions.
This is the moment you check in with God Almighty to find out His direction for your life. It’s usually the thing that brings you the most joy and peace on the inside. The direction that seems easiest to you though in the natural, may be hard to others.
It would also be good for you to get alone with God for a couple of days, fasting and praying to get clarity on that direction. Here is a great example of how men of God received clarity on their mission from God.
2 As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away. Acts 13:2 – 3.
Notice once they first ministered to the Lord and during that time fasted, the Holy Spirit gave them clarity by speaking directly to them.
I have noticed in times past when I took time out to fast and pray, God’s voice became more clear and precise. I did that just before we moved to Alabama and felt God’s direction to make this move.
We have been blessed greatly in following that direction.
Remember all your days were placed in you the moment you were born. Your mission never left you, you may have left it, but I know for a fact it never left you.
You are only given so many days to fulfill what he has placed on the inside of you. Don’t let another moment go by without you getting on the God ordained path for your life. These are the words that you want to hear once you have breathed your last breath on this earth.
21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ Matthew 25:21 (NKJV)
