Change That Law!

Change That Law!

I was just entering into the world back in the early 1960s but as I grew older and could comprehend what was happening I began to hear the stories. The stories of racism against blacks in the South and all around America, the struggle for freedom to just be recognized as human beings with the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Jim Crow Laws, which legalized segregation between blacks and whites that began way back in the 1880s, were being enforced into the middle 1960s across the South. By law blacks were told they could not vote, attend certain schools, eat at certain restaurants, and even drink from the same water fountain as whites.

Most Americans then and now that had a true relationship with God realized how wrong that was and as a result we no longer have those laws, thanks to individuals that stood up against the establishment at that time. People like Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr. and a host of others helped change the laws to give equality to everyone.

Just like human nature has been down through the ages, it never stops passing laws that enslave someone or some people group. Today our fight legally is not with blacks and whites, that has been taken care of legally. There is a new enslavement and what has happened is that it has just switched hats.

This new legal enslavement had a start date, which was January 22, 1973 and it has enslaved way more people than racism ever did in America.  In a recent appearance on the television show called “The View,” Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was asked by Paula Faris about her comments regarding abortion on “Meet the Press.” Here is Paula Faris’ question to Hillary.

You said, ‘The unborn person doesn’t have constitutional rights.’ And my question is at what point does someone have constitutional rights? And are you saying that a child, on its due date, just hours before delivery still has no constitutional rights?

Here is Hillary Clinton’s response: “Under our law, that is the case. I support Roe V. Wade because I think it is an important statement about the importance of a woman making this most difficult decision with consultation by whom she chooses… and under the law, and under certainly that decision, that is the way we structure it.”

Notice Hillary quoted the law twice in her statement, does that sound familiar? It sounds to me like the same language of the Jim Crow Law people way back in the 1950s and early 1960s concerning blacks in the South, they quoted the law and some blacks were maimed and lost their lives over not obeying it. Over 50 million babies and counting have lost their lives in America because the law says they have no rights. Folks, that baby in the womb at the moment of conception and certainly just hours before its birth into this world has rights!!! They are rights given to them not by man, but by almighty God, the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Let’s stand up for them because they can’t stand up for themselves!
